On the southern tip of Mabul Island, Sipadan-Mabul Resort is a beautiful and traditional Borneo-style diving resort, which can accommodate up to 60 guests in a collection of 25 comfortable standalone chalets and suite chalets, surrounded by a lush coconut grove, and next to a pristine white sand beach.

    Sipadan Permits

    The daily 14 Sipadan permits are shared between Sipadan-Mabul Resort and its sister resort Mabul Water Bungalows. In addition, the resorts have access to other operators permits, thus maximizing the guests chances of going to Sipadan.

    DIVE CENTER

    The resort's dive centre operates 11 dive boats departing 3 times a day to Mabul, Kapalai, Si Amil and Sipadan. PADI dive courses are available from DSD to Divemaster. Underwater cameras are available for rent. Choose their technical diving course such as Nitrox, Technical International Diving (TDI) and Cave Diving course at Sipadan's Turtle Cavern.

    HOW TO GET TO
    SIPADAN-MABUL RESORT

    From either Kota Kinabalu, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, fly to Tawau, where you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to Semporna Town (1h20mn), then it’s a 45mn speedboat ride to Mabul Island.
    The daily boat transfer departure times from Semporna Jetty to the resort are: 10 am, 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
    On arrival day, try to book a flight landing in Tawau airport latest by 2:00pm (or earlier) to be able to transfer to Mabul on the same day. For departures, try to book a flight out of Tawau earliest by 11 am (or later). Otherwise, you will need to stay overnight in either Tawau or Semporna.
